Have you used the MapViews in android ever? if you have used then you might have faced one question regarding how to generate api key to be used in MapView, if it right then here are the steps to generate Maps API key for android Mapview:
Step 1: At command prompt with location bin directory of your JDK (For example, C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7.0_03bin), type keytool -list -keystore ~/.android/debug.keystore.
Step 2: Go to this URL: http://code.google.com/android/maps-api-signup.html
Step 3: Check the “I have read and agree with the terms and conditions” checkbox.
Step 4: Copy the MD5 fingerprint from the command prompt window and then paste the same in the textbox showing at above URL.
Step 5: Click on “Generate API Key”.
